Registration is now closed for the 2009 Emerging Leaders Program
As a Fall Welcome participant, you have an additional opportunity to apply to be a part of the Emerging Leaders program. This program is ideal if you are interested in continuing your leadership skill development and/or beginning your leadership journey at WMU. The Emerging Leaders program incorporates skill building activities, dynamic speakers, and opportunities to interact with current WMU student leaders. Additionally, you will begin building relationships with other emerging leaders, learn how to get involved on campus during their first year, and you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with other new incoming students. Past topics have included exploring personal values, diversity & inclusion, civic engagement, the SALP Leadership Philosophy, goal-setting in college, and a variety of team building activities. Registration for events are free of charge, however, a $50 charge may be posted to your student account if you do not cancel within 48 hours of the beginning of each event. See SALP staff for more information.
Date: During Fall Welcome (August 31st - September 4, 2009)
Times:
Monday, August 31st 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Tueday, September 1st 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, Septemeber 2nd 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. (dinner will be served)
Thursday, September 3rd 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (lunch will be served)
Friday, September 4th noon - 1:30 p.m. (lunch will be served)
Venue: Bernhard Center Brown & Gold Room(2nd floor)
Maximum Enrollment: 50 students
The final deadline to register for this exciting program is July 17, 2009. You will be notified within two weeks of submitting your online application form. Remember, space is limited, so sign up soon!
